Courtyard by Marriott Penfield Gets $2 Million Makeover

New Hotel Lobby Concept Brought to Rochester Market

Rochester, NY - E.J. Del Monte Corporation, owner and operator of the Courtyard by Marriott Penfield, announces the completion of a $2 million renovation project at the hotel. The ‘refreshing business’ makeover began in August on the property. Courtyard Penfield is the first franchised Courtyard by Marriott hotel in North America to include the new design concept.

"Guests want more control and choice with service and amenities that create a healthy balance between working and relaxing," says Brian Kin, vice president, Global Brand Manager, Courtyard by Marriott.

Courtyard by Marriott Penfield was built in 1994, and is located at 1000 Linden Park. It has 95 rooms on five floors. Renovations at the hotel include:

• New lobby concept featuring:
• Serene, earth tones and textures.
• Traditional ‘hotel front desk’ is replaced with a welcome podium.
• Flat panel, high-definition television.
• Courtyard Go Board™, a 52-inch LCD touch screen that contains Rochester-area information, maps, weather, and news.
• Free WiFi, and ample electrical outlets throughout the lobby to power digital devices.
• A business library and complimentary computer terminals.
• New dining concept:
• The old Courtyard Café buffet has been replaced with a bistro experience
• Serving breakfast, and dinner, along with Starbucks® coffee, along with other snacks, beer and wine
