Courtyard by Marriott Albany Airport Completes $1.75 Million Makeover
- New Hotel Lobby Concept Brought to Albany Market -
Albany, NY - E.J. Del Monte Corporation, owner and operator of the Courtyard by Marriott Albany Airport, announces the completion of a $1.75 million renovation project at the hotel. The ‘refreshing business’ makeover began in December on the property. Courtyard Albany is the second franchised Courtyard by Marriott hotel in North America to include the new design concept.
"Guests want more control and choice with service and amenities that create a healthy balance between working and relaxing," says Felix Ramos, General Manager.
This was the first major renovation to the property. In 2002, bedding was renovated along with some furniture and carpeting. Courtyard by Marriott Albany Airport was built in 1997, and is located at 168 Wolf Road. It has 78 rooms on three floors. Renovations at the hotel include:
- New lobby concept featuring:
- Serene, earth tones and textures.
- Traditional ‘hotel front desk’ is replaced with a welcome podium.
- Flat panel, high-definition televisions.
- Courtyard Go Board™, a 52-inch LCD touch screen that contains Albany-area information, maps, weather, and news.
- High speed internet
- New dining concept:
- The old Courtyard Café buffet has been replaced with a bistro experience
- Serving breakfast and dinner, Starbucks® coffee, and other snacks, beer and wine
"It addition to launching a new lobby design, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and our fitness center have also been completely renovated," says Ramos. "This includes new bedding and furniture, carpeting, and wall coverings."
